Welcome!

Welcome to the new blog, Motor Sports Muse.  Here, I hope to post links to my Rochester Motor Sports articles on Examiner.com as well as thoughts,  notes, and other musings about the sport.  I'll write about historic motor racing, vintage motor racing, Formula 1, IndyCar, and NASCAR most likely.  Racers, race events, and books and films, etc. about the sport.  Maybe some other stuff, too.

I hope you enjoy what you find here.

If you are looking for my poetry and historic racing project completed with the sponsorship of the New York State Council on the Arts, please see that website here: Poetry in Motion: Vintage Speed.

Comments always welcome!

  1. Hi Connie, so pleased to find your blog having been interested in F1 since 1970. I would also nominate Francois Cevert for Legends of the Glen. I mentioned him in one of my blogposts:

I have always loved the Glen, such a beautiful setting and a challenging track. I'm looking forward to seeing the new movie about the 76 Grand Prix season and the rivalry between Hunt and Lauda, especially since I saw the US and Canadian GPs that year. Hope they don't take too much poetic licence as the real story is dramatic enough. I look forward to following your blog. All the best, Anne Corke, Peterborough Ontario Canada

  2. Hi, Anne -- Thanks so much for stopping by, and for your comments! I will check out your blog as well.

I've heard good things so far about RUSH from motor sports folks who have managed to see pre-screenings. Fingers crossed for a good one with Ron Howard at the helm.
